We are your friendly society

We’re financial experts dedicated to providing effective, great-value products and services to members of the UK Police Family.

Our mission: We’re here to give members of the Police Family the opportunity to provide for their future financial security through education, information and fair value products

We totally support the Police and have been doing so for quite some time. Volunteers formed the Metropolitan Police Provident Association in 1893 mainly to help widows of colleagues, and retiring officers.  In 1948 this became the Metropolitan Police Friendly Society.

Before the creation of the welfare state, friendly societies such as ours made a real difference to ordinary working people falling upon hard times; keeping families together and even saving lives.

Throughout the years we’ve offered unique police-friendly financial products and services to serving and retired police officers, police staff and their families. Over 130 years later, we have grown to be a multi-million-pound organisation – but we STILL have our members interests at the heart of everything we do.
